Donations always needed

When this group first started it was on Yahoo groups for free. It quickly outgrew that forum and Mindy moved it to it's own domain. During the initial discussion and creation of SCDSsupport.org, many helped with donations to get this up and running. Once it was here....WOW! It was apparent that bringing our SCDS group out in the "open" was necessary.

Keeping the site/forum up and running is an ongoing expense and takes many volunteer hours. Please consider going to our donation website to make a donation to SCDSsupport.org.

I'm sorry...I should have stated that.

At renewal time July 11, 2008, the hosting was $155.40 (subject to change year to year), the domain was $23 (for three years), and I'm looking for donations to hire a professional who is experienced with phpBB who can update the site and do routine maintenance occassionally throughout the year. I do not know what that will cost yet as I have not located someone to perform this task yet.

This does not include regular maintenance that occurs daily for an average of 2 hours a day which is currently done on a volunteer basis.

The reason that donations have not been discussed on the list for some time is that our originial donations drive yielded enough to cover the expenses for 2 years. Those funds were used up when I renewed the site on July 11th. 100% of all donations will go directly to the site and it's maintenance.
